Both MS VB and MS FB will be starting Wednesday, August 25, after school. VB will be done at 5 p.m. and FB approximately 5:15 p.m.

The Kickapoo Fishing Club will have another meeting tomorrow (Saturday) morning at Sidie Hollow from 10:00 to Noon. We will meet on the shelter side of the lake and we will have a special guest from the fishing industry. Any Kickapoo student in grades 6-12 may attend. Email Mr. Gehrke with any questions.
Middle School Volleyball practice will start Wednesday, August 25th, 3:30-5:00 p.m.
At the August 11th board meeting, the decision was made to require face coverings for all students, staff, and visitors while inside the building and on school transportation, regardless of vaccination status. Many in our community are tired of Covid restrictions, which we understand, but our shared goal is to keep students in a face to face instructional environment for as much of the school year as possible. The district must act conservatively to protect the health of students and staff as Covid rates rise in our county areas. The board hopes to adopt a transparent metric that would inform our community when face coverings will become optional/recommended vs. required. The administration is also working with a testing vendor to provide access to free Covid tests for all students and staff which will potentially assist in reducing necessary quarantine times for close contacts. More information on this will be forthcoming in the next week. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

Musical Camp: Tuesday: 5:30-6:00 Abby and Hailey, 6:00-6:45 John and Bryn, 6:45-7:15 Robbie, 7:15-8:00 Dylan and Mia. No practice Thursday. If you aren't on the list, you don't need to come. If you want to come anyway and fill in other character lines that would be great. Any work you can do on lines and songs on your own will make upcoming practices go that much more smoothly. ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
Every parent must update their child’s information every year. Once again, we have created an online registration for you to review and complete. Online Registration will open in Skyward Family Access starting today August 4th and remain open until Monday, August 23rd. Please complete all of the steps and submit when you get to the last step. Online registration cannot be done through the Kickapoo School App, so please open this link in a web browser. (https://skyward.iscorp.com/scripts/wsisa.dll/WService=wsedukickapoowi/seplog01.w) If you rather, we will have our MS/HS computer lab open during our open house on August 10th from 3:00-6:00PM for you to complete it and receive assistance to help you navigate the steps. If you do not do the online registration, you will have to do the paper copies. This is important information so we need it one way or another. We recommend the online registration because it already has the information for last year filled in so all you have to do is review most of it. That saves you a lot of writing. HEY BAND!! Here is a reminder of our scheduled summer band camps for next week Wednesday and Thursday. The beginner(6th Gr) and MS(7-8) camp will be on Wednesday, July 28. The HS(9-12) camp will be on Thursday, July 29. Students using school instruments that were cleaned/fixed this summer, can pick up their instrument at the beginning of the day camp.
